Andrea is a professional food photographer and recipe developer, based in Denver, Colorado. But at heart and by origin she’ll always be a true European. Being born and raised in the Czech Republic her cultural and language connections to the region are strong.
She has lived in and traveled throughout many Mediterranean countries before moving to the United States. For years she lived and studied Arabic in Tunisia where she met (apart from many amazing friends) her husband and together they grew a love for the South of France by frequent long visits centered mostly around food. She has also explored Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy and other nearby countries and got married in Crete which has been her second home for more than 12 years.
During her regular travels, she soaks up the people, their languages, and culture especially though cuisine. Although her formal education is in clinical psychology, her adoration for delicious and beautiful food guides her through life and radiates from the images she creates.
When not spending time with her family or producing food photography and video work for clients in her studio, she has been slowly putting together a cookbook composed of her life story, travel experience, friends’ tales and personal passions. She’s also an avid swimmer, a musician and a dog lover. She considers herself a gourmet and loves how delicious, varied yet simple and fulfilling Mediterranean food is and adores sharing stories about it, in both her images and words.
